YOUNG RESEARCHERS AND STUDENTS

Young researchersPOLY-CHAR 2024 places special emphasis on the promotion of young scientists. In this respect, researchers under 37 years old on May 27th 2024 are categorized as Young Researchers*, and have access to a series of special opportunities.

To benefit from the advantages available, if eligible, you should register as Young Researcher on the registration form (evidence of age is required).

Additionally, Students have access to the same advantages plus a reduced registration fee. You should register as Student on the registration form if you are following a First degree, Master, PhD or postgraduate studies (documentary evidence required).

Young Researchers and Students may benefit from the following opportunities:

1.   SHORT COURSE. Both Students and Young Researchers have FREE ACCESS to the pre-conference course, with no additional cost. Those who wish to attend the course must confirm this in the registration form.

2.  FLASH SESSIONS. You can present your poster in a 5 min oral talk. Apply for a poster flash in the Registration application.

3.  SCHOLARSHIPS.

The deadline for application is February 28th, 2024

 A limited number of scholarships* are available to students and young researchers to help cover their registration fees or accommodation costs, and will be awarded on the basis of a provided motivation letter, CV and the candidates country of origin. To apply, please send this information in pdf format to the conference secretariat poly-char2024@fgua.es, stating clearly the country of origin.

* More details will be provided at a later date.

4. AWARDS. The POLY-CHAR Awards Committee will evaluate the contributions of young scientists. POLY-CHAR 2024 offers the following awards:

√   IUPAC Best Student and Young Scientists Poster (3 winners)

√   POLY-CHAR Best Students and Young Scientists Oral presentation (up to 3 winners)

√   POLY-CHAR Best Students and Young Scientists Poster (up to 3 winners)

* The Young Researcher classification and criteria have been defined by the POLY-CHAR Scientific Committee.
