The POLY-CHAR AWARDS COMMITTEE will select 3 researchers to receive the following major awards:

Richard Robert Ernst Award

This prize, carrying the name of the Nobel Laureate Prof. Richard Ernst (Chemistry 1991), will be bestowed to an innovative early career young scientist or innovator who presents a significant contribution towards solving pertinent societal problems.

Jean-Marie Lehn Award

This prize, carrying the name of Nobel Laureate Prof. Jean Marie Lehn (Chemistry 1987), will be bestowed to a senior scientist to recognize his/her significant contribution in the field of Materials Science and Engineering.

Awards

Pierre-Gilles de Gennes Award

This prize, carrying the name of Nobel Laureate Prof. Pierre-Gilles de Gennes (Physics 1991), will be bestowed to a senior scientist to recognize his/her significant contribution in the field of Macromolecular Science and Polymer Characterization.


Additionally, the POLY-CHAR 2024 PRIZE COMMITTEE will scrutinize all of the presentations during the congress and several prizes for Students and Young researchers will be awarded, including:

  • IUPAC Best Student and Young Scientists Poster (3 winners)
  • POLY-CHAR Best Students and Young Scientists Oral presentation (up to 3 winners)
  • POLY-CHAR Best Students and Young Scientists Poster (up to 3 winners)


The prizewinners will be announced in the Closing Ceremony on Friday 31st May.
