The human rights-based approach - 3 ECTS

The Human Rights-based Approach is a conceptual frame that clarifies the form in which the norms and the principles of human rights must be put in practice in the programming of the public policies and the cooperation for development. In that line, the primary targets of this course are directed towards understanding the relation of the human rights with the strategies and policies of development, including the Agenda 2030 and its SDG. To achieve it, an approach to the normative sources of this perspective is made, in order for the formulation of public policies and projects of cooperation to the development to be based on normative standards, principles and frames in the matter of human rights. At the end of the course, the participants will be able to advise public and private organisations for the application of the Human Rights-based Approach. Access to the syllabus
