From Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport
• By taxi 
Take a taxi from the airport to Alcalá de Henares. The journey takes about 20 minutes and the fare is approximately 40.00 €.
• By underground 
Take Line 8 (pink line) from Terminal 4 or Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (a single station) from Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport, to Nuevos Ministerios. Then, follow the signs for “Cercanías” (local trains). After purchasing your ticket from the ticket office or a ticket vending machine (you can follow the instructions in different languages by selecting the option on the screen), look for the platform for line C7 (last stop is Alcalá de Henares, or line C2 (last stop is Guadalajara). Check the final destination as well as the number of the line. Get off at Alcalá de Henares station.
The journey from Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport to Alcalá de Henares station takes around 1 hour 30 minutes and costs 4.50 € (underground) plus 3,40 € (train).
• By train "Cercanías Madrid" 
Line C1 connects Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport Terminal 4 with Madrid city centre. To get to Alcalá de Henares, take this line and get off at Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios, Recoletos or Atocha, where you can switch to line C2 or line C7 to Alcalá de Henares.
The journey from the airport to Atocha takes around 27 minutes. The ticket is approximately 2.60 € plus 3.40 € from Atocha to Alcalá de Henares.
• By bus 
The simplest and most comfortable way to get to Alcalá de Henares is to take bus number 824 from airport Terminals 1 and 2. Get off the bus in Vía Complutense-Calle Brihuega in Alcalá de Henares, which is located in the city centre and is the closest stop to the conference venue. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes and the ticket price is 3.60 €.
There are buses every 40 minutes from Mon-Fri between 6.40 and 22.00.
There is also an Express Bus Service from Terminals 1, 2 and 4 to Madrid city centre.The last stop is Atocha, from which you can take a local train (Cercanías, line C2 and line C7) to Alcalá de Henares.Fares are around 5 €.
From Madrid
• By car 
Take the A-2 highway and head towards Zaragoza. Leave the road at exit 23 following the signs to Alcalá de Henares (Oeste). The journey takes around 30 minutes.
• By train "Cercanías Madrid"
From Chamartín, Nuevos Ministerios, Recoletos and Atocha railway stations, follow the signs to Cercanías (local trains). After purchasing your ticket, look for line C7 to Alcalá de Henares or C2 to Guadalajara. Check the final destination as well as the line number. Get off at Alcalá de Henares. The journey takes about 50 minutes and the ticket is around 3.40 €.
• By bus
There are excellent connections between Madrid and Alcalá de Henares from the Transport Interchange Complex (“Intercambiador”) in Avenida de América (Avenida de América underground station). From there, take the ALSA intercity bus number 223, which departs every 10-15 minutes. Get off at Vía Complutense-Calle Brihuega in Alcalá de Henares. The journey takes about 40 minutes and the fares are around 3.40 €.
