In addition to the bus services provided by the conference organisation, it is possible to arrive at the University campus (where the conference will be held on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) by public transport:

By local bus service:

Linea 2 local bus Alcalá de HenaresAlcalá de Henares has an extensive network of regular bus services. Of these, bus line 2 directly connects the centre of the city with the University campus (frequency: every 10-15 minutes). The service to the university campus has the destination Hospital/Universidad with the final stop being the venue for the conference (see line). There are various bus stops along Vía Complutense or a further stop can be found in Calle Sebastián de la Plaza close to the Estación de servicio San Isidro (petrol station). The journey takes around 10-15 minutes and tickets can be purchased on board the buses in cash.

The return journey can also be made using the same bus line which starts from outside the conference venue (see line). In this case the destination is Puerta de Santa Ana and again the bus makes stops in Calle Sebastián de la Plaza and several along Vía Complutense.

By train (cercanias):

Alcalá de Henares and the University campus (Universidad de Alcalá) have train stations which are served by the Madrid Cercanias network (line C2 or line C8). The journey from Alcalá de Henares to Universidad de Alcalá takes around 3 minutes (the first stop) and at peak times the trains are around every 15 minutes. From the Universidad de Alcalá station it is around a 20 minute walk to the conference venue, passing through the university campus. Tickets (including the rechargeable ticket) can be purchased at the train station. For information: the final destination of the train to arrive at the university campus is Guadalajara and for the return, is direction Madrid for the stations Atocha, Recoletos, Nuevos Ministerios or Chamartin.
