The European Association for Forensic Entomology (EAFE) was founded in 2002 and since then has organized an annual meeting between researchers and professionals in Forensic Entomology, defined as the use of insects and other arthropods in legal and / or judicial investigations. Although originally founded to establish a connection between the European community of forensic entomologists, the association today has numerous members and participants from both European countries and other continents, researchers, academics, forensics and members of the security forces.
The annual congress is usually attended by around 80 participants. In addition, this year it will coincide with the celebration of the International Conference in Funerary Archaeoentomology (ICFAE), where the latest advances and research in the field of Funerary Archaeoentomology are presented.
Both events will take place in the very special setting of the University of Alcalá, in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, declared a World Heritage City. We hope that all attendees will enjoy these two Congresses and our wonderful University.
We look forward to seeing you all!!!
