He is currently Director of the Fraunhofer Institut for Industrial Engineering (IAO) in Stuttgart Germany and head of the research departments "Human Resource Management" and “Service Engineering”. Aside that, he is also a member of several national and international scientific boards. Walter is the author and co-author of more than 25 publications in the last 3 years. Latest one: An Integrative Quality Framework for Developing Industrial Smart Services (Service Science).

Juan Antonio Gómez has a PhD in Physical Sciences, an Electronic specialty, from the Complutense University of Madrid. University Professor in the area of ​​Computer Architecture and Technology at the University of Extremadura. Accumulates 30 years of research activity in areas of reconfigurable computing based on FPGA, embedded computing, metaheuristics for solving optimization problems, bioinformatics, mobile communications, wireless sensor networks, recommendation systems, machine learning, predictive models and time series.
