The Parador is located in the historic centre of Alcalá de Henares. It occupies a magnificent 17th century building, a former Dominican college-convent of Santo Tomás, which together with the Hostería del Estudiante, located in the former Colegio Menor de San Jerónimo, founded by Cardinal Cisneros in 1510 and with marvellous views of the Trilingual Courtyard of the University of Alcalá, form part of the monumental complex of the city of Alcalá, considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1998.
