On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees, it is our pleasure to welcome you to Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, for the IX Iberometrics meeting. Iberometrics brings together every two years specialists in Iberian Economic History. These experts present and discuss their research on Spanish, Portuguese or Iberian quantitative economic history, including analysis of the colonial period as well as comparative studies that consider the Portuguese and/or Spanish cases within their sample.
The venue for the Congress alternates between Spain and Portugal. This time the event will take place in the University of Alcalá, offering the perfect opportunity to explore the World Heritage Site of the University and Historic Precinct in the town center.
The event is organized by the Department of Economy and the Glocred network and is sponsored by the Bank of Spain.
