The Thematic Network ALAMA (Linear Algebra, Matrix Analysis, and Applications) organizes in June 2022 its seventh biennial meeting, after the previous editions of Vitoria-Gasteiz (2008), Valencia (2010), Leganés (2012), Barcelona (2014), León (2016) and Alicante (2018).
This edition is celebrated in honour of Ion Zaballa, professor at Universidad del País Vasco, and of Dario A. Bini, professor at Università di Pisa, so that this ALAMA Meeting is celebrated jointly with the seventeenth edition of ALN2gg (Due giorni di Algebra Lineare Numerica). The meeting ALN2gg periodically gathers the Italian community of numerical linear algebra, this time along three days, June 1 and 3, 2022.
The joint meeting will be celebrated in a singular environment: the historical Colegio de San Ildefonso of the University of Alcalá, in the city of Alcalá de Henares (province of Madrid), whose historical centre was declared in 1998 a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The meeting has as aim to gather researchers whose work is related to linear algebra, matrix analysis and their applications, so that it can be a place to interchange results, experiences and opinions.
The program includes four Plenary Lectures, and communications distributed along three parallel sessions. Taking advantage of the fact that the venue of the meeting is located in the historical buildings of the University of Alcalá, the program also includes guided visits to buildings of the university and to other buildings of the historical centre of Alcalá de Henares, as well as to the city centre.
We hope the scientific program we have prepared will be of your maximum interest.
Best regards,
The Organizing Committee
